Unnai Pol Oruvan
by Chakri
In simple words, ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ can be regarded as ‘Better than the best’. It’s because, the remake version seems to be much stupendous than the original ‘A Wednesday’. Of course, the biggest highlighting feature is that Kamal Haasan hasn’t let any changes to the script including the film’s duration (that exactly goes with 100mins). Fine! Let’s not get ourselves dragged with the analysis and you can just take a glimpse over the story… ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ is a story that revolves around a calamitous day where the entire city is shook with a single call from that starts off the thriller drama. A stranger over the top of under-construction building’s terrace makes a call to city commissioner (Mohan Lal) stating that he has planted bombs at various parts of the city. Nothing seems to be a serious issue for commissioner as he presumes it to be a crank call. But things start rolling ahead topsy-turvily when the stranger reasserts about his powerfulness by ensuring that he has placed 3k

Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru
by Nandini
What strikes me hardly is the fact that is it a flick churned out of Rs.2Crores? Oops! Nothing seems to be much worthy for that big price. Of course, it isn’t a much worth watching flick for the pricey tickets you buy. Maybe Satyam Cinemas and Real Images, producers of this film could’ve attempted selling the film over direct release on set up box channels and they could’ve done indeed got good profit. It doesn’t mean that ‘T4’ is such an unbearable experience to watch. It’s a good work by debutant Nandini who comes up with mirthful one-liner comedy tracks. But, the story is merely a polished replication of director Fazil’s yesteryear laugh-riot ‘Arangetra Velai’. Fine! Let’s get onto the synopsis and later analyze it. ‘Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’ is about couple of colleagues: Arjun (Ajmal) and Archana (Rupa) working together in an advertising agency under a boss Srinivasan (Mouli). Srinivasan has a peculiar problem and that’s about failing to recollect the names. Arjun is so lethar

Suriyan Satta Kaloori
by S S Pandiyan
There are distinct advantages to watching a Tamil film like SS Moviemakers's Suriyan Satta Kalloori (Suriyan law College), directed by Pawan, with its ridiculously simple theme, one-dimensional characters and clichéd performances. The cast and crew leave you in no doubt about what to expect. It's been quite some time since you saw what was once a staple of Tamil cinema: college life, where students rarely attended classes, fall in love and live happily ever after. Well, this movie tries to take itself seriously, which is why it is set against the Government Law College. With its history of caste differences and violence, it is the perfect backdrop for our hero, Surya Narayanan (newcomer Kajni). He is shown as the golden-hearted, larger-than-life hero of the 1970s and 1980s -- he fights goons single-handedly, has an SFX team doing magic with his silhouettes and crashes through everything. He is the Student Council Chairman; is kind, thoughtful, loving, brilliant, does social service

Moonar
by Thambi Durai
Moonar starring by Ranjith, Rithi. ‘All the incidents in this film are fictitious……. Until they happen to you’. We see an upanishad quote about death. The film begins with Chakravarthi shouting in anguish inside a dark forest. The film cuts to Arya, and the introduction song. We learn that Karthick (Arya) is an architect. He meets Sandhya (Trisha) in a go-carting race, and falls in love as soon as he sees her. Sandhya is a doctor, and so Karthick goes to her hospital and tries to woo her. Sandhya hates Karthick as she thinks he is not serious about life. Gradually, she falls for him, and the two happily enjoy life. We also see Eashwar, a man who has lost his wife and son in a road accident. Eashwar thinks that it was Naushad – the man who accidentally hit Eashwar’s wife (Anu Hassan in a cameo) and son with his car – who is solely responsible for their death, and he repeatedly stalks Naushad and threatens him that he doesn’t understand the loss Eashwar has undergone and he will only
